SKULL
During this session we worked focusing on skull. Before we started hands-on work and moving, we had a discussion about it. It made me think about various things and facts about skull, which gave me deeper understanding about it, which affects my kinaesthetical awareness and as a result, also affects my moving and its quality.
Human brain is big evolutionary change in comparison to animals.
Skull function is to protect the brain.
Skull is a second heaviest body part (after pelvic).
It has most complex bone structure.
Nose is a cartilage, not a bone.
Skull became smaller evolutionary.
Giraffe has the same amount of vertebrae as human.
The rest of the class contained hands-on work and improvisational moving concentrating on skull and letting it to be the leading point stimulating moving. This specific ness was an interesting exploration, inviting different movements. Although, it made me dizzy and I had to start thinking about the balance of the floating skull but not overfloating. It challenged me and I took my time exploring these boundaries.
